Freehold Township High School Basketball Team Aims to Make Fourth Straight Road Win Against Marlboro

The Freehold Township High School boys' basketball team has been on a Cinderella run, winning three straight road games against Shore Conference Class A North teams in Western Monmouth County. Their next challenge is to continue this streak by defeating No. 9 Marlboro on Monday at 7 p.m. at Freehold Township High School.

Hillsborough, who lost to Manalapan twice and split with Marlboro among their three common opponents, has shown resilience throughout the season. In fact, they have compiled a 78-31 record during this senior class's run, representing the school in ways that no one could have predicted.

However, their loss to Freehold Township earlier in the season has not gone unnoticed. The Patriots led by as many as 10 points early on, but ultimately lost 55-52. According to senior Seth Meisner, their loss of composure led to Marlboro getting on a run that was difficult to break.

Despite this setback, Hillsborough is determined to make it a fourth straight road win against Shore Conference Class A North teams. With their athletic team and press defense, they will be looking to outmaneuver the Red Raiders once again.
